Distance learning in Bioinformatics

The University of Manchester, UK, offers a number of distance learning courses in
Bioinformatics. The modules may be studied either individually, or as elements of the
full MSc in Bioinformatics. The modules running in semester 2, which begins on 17
March 2003, will be:
Introduction to Molecular Biology for Computer Scientists
Biological sequence analysis (Bioinformatics 1)
Microarray data analysis (Bioinformatics 2)
C for Bioinformatics
Java
Biocomputing
Object-oriented analysis and design with UML
The module fee for 2002/2003 is £600. Applications from new students, who are not
already working towards one of the University's formal qualifications, will be accepted
