Bioinformatics courses March 2006
---------------------------------

The March 2006 list of distance learning courses in Bioinformatics is 
now available.  These modules may be studied either individually, or as 
elements of the full MSc in Bioinformatics at the University of 
Manchester, UK.

The MSc modules follow two themes, Bioinformatics and Computer Science. 
  The Bioinformatics modules are:

Introduction to Molecular Biology for Computer Scientists
Introduction to Bioinformatics
Introduction to Microarray Data Analysis
The Bioinformatics of Protein Structure
The Science of Proteomics
Theory and Applications in Bioinformatics
Medicinal Chemistry (Offered by the University of California, San Diego)
Molecular Modelling and Structure-based Drug Design

The computing modules are:

Introduction to programming (C or Java)
Intermediate Java
Biocomputing
Object-oriented analysis and design with UML
