Howdy,
Just a quick question:
I read a review paper by Wong-Riley (TINS) stating that action potentials in
nerve cells utilize only about 2-7% of the oxidative energy store available.
I was wondering if muscle fibres utilize more, less or the same amount of
oxidative enzymes when contracting/relaxing. Any ideas or references? If
more information is required to answer the question, let me know.
thanks,
