I have recently become interested in MCA and its applications within
biochemistry. As I see it there are several potential practical approaches,
(e.g the "top-down" approach, matrix approaches etc.), including one based on
the use of the approach to steady state and metabolite concentrations in that
approach. This has been developed by Delgado and Liao (Biotechnol Progress
7:15-20 1991, Biochem J 282:919-927 1992) but has not been used in an
experimental situation as far as I know. I wondrered if anyone in this new
group has any opinions on the method, or its potential uses.
