Let me suggest even another format for your needs: RTF, which is
Microsoft's Rich-Text-Format that many wordprocessors can read and edit.
Postscript is fine for printing and even display on some computers,
but it isn't editable. RTF can be read/editted/written by MS Word, WordPerfect,
Ami Pro, WriteNow and many other wordprocessors on Macs and MSDos/MSWin
computers. It still is hard to find a wordprocessor on Unix [that handles
RTF], but there are rtf2Tex(LaTex) and rtf2troff converter programs for
the unixers.

When you want to save a file as RTF from your wordprocessor, take a
look at the save options -- many wordprocessors will give you that option
to save as RTF. This is a fairly painless format to use, compared
to (La)TeX which is basicly unix-only or Postscript, which generally is
hard to display on PCs or Macs.
