Funnily enough, I have heard of a light meter. But I'm not quite sure
of the relevance of your argument.

Photosynthesis might be described as follows:

		    hv
      6CO  + 6H 0 ------> C H  O  + 6O
	 2     2           6 12 6     2

We now need to now how many photons at (v) are required for this ---
how do you do *that* with a light meter? As for the idea that ``not
being able to measure the energy makes a reaction endothermic'' ---
who said that? I'm sure it wasn't me. And I'm still not sure whether
photons count as thermal energy or not.
