--------------------------------------------------------

This mail is just to let potential users know that the current version
of SCAMP is finally being updated (after a years' delay). The update
will be be available in one week (no access to net before then). Just
four changes: Reported bugs collected over the year have been sorted
out, automatic installation from the zip file, single command to launch
program, and updated documentation. Due to severe constaints on my time
I can only support bug fixes and queries for the PC version, the UNIX
version is no longer available.

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about:

SCAMP is a reaction network simulation language for DOS machines.
It supports the following features:

Arbitrary network structures.
No constraints to the form of kinetic laws (continous or discrete (with
care))
No constraints to the size of model other than available memory.
Full 32-bit program including DOS extender.
Forcing functions (i.e attaching functions to external conditions)
Monitoring functions including discrete control of environment
parameters.
Auto detection of conserved cycles
Time Simulation, steady state or continuation analysis (multi-steady
state analysis).
Repetition of runs, by list, range and function transformation.
Calculation of elasticities, flux control coefficients, concentration
control coefficients and response coefficients.
Flexible output control plus supporting easy-to-use graphing utility.
It's free
Other features to be found in the manual.

I would like to thank Petra zu Lage for posting this mail.
