delta-(L-alpha-aminoadipyl)-L-cysteinyl-D-valine synthetase is a non
ribosomal peptide synthetase forming ACV tripeptide in the Cephalosporin
and Penicillin biosynthetic pathways.

Reviews exist on polyketide syntheses, which are enzymes with multiple
functionalities on the same protein. Many groups are working on
restructuring such multifunctional enzymes to produce novel polyketides.
