Maybe you will not find anyone very expert on this question in this News
Group, but perhaps I can suggest some better places to look. You could
try recent papers from the groups of Willy Stalmans (e.g. J. Biol. Chem.
270, 19351-19357 (1995)) or Joan Guinovart (e.g. FEBS Lett. 296, 211-214
(1992). If their papers don't answer the question I expect they would
respond to a query. I don't know the email address for Stalmans; that
for Guinovart is guino at sun.bq.ub.es
