No action?

Claude Aflalo asked

>Who said there's no "action" in this group?

I did, echoing Robert DiSilvestro. But the point is that all (or much of
it, anyway) of the action over the past week or two was stimulated by
deliberately asking a provocative question. While I sympathize with the
people who said it doesn't really matter if the group is moribund for a
period and then springs into life again I think they are mistaken. If you
check through the whole list of BioNet news groups you will find quite a
few that are virtually dead, though presumably someone was enthusiastic
about them once. Anyone checking one of these out of curiosity and finding
they consist of a few teenage nude advertisements, opportunities to earn
$$$$ and nothing else won't bother to come back. Anyone who checks this
group in a lean month will likewise see little reason to come back and
won't know that we have good months as well.

More important, there has *still* been no answer to Robert DiSilvestro's
question about Cr isotopes. I'd answer it myself if I knew the answer, but
unfortunately I don't, and can't think of anyone around me to ask. However,
I find it hard to believe that there is *no one* who follows this group who
has any idea.
