Pierre-Charles Romond asked,

Two recent good books, one elementary

David Fell: Understanding the Control of Metabolism (1997) Portland Press,
London

and one more advanced

Reinhart Heinrich and Stefan Schuster: The Regulation of Cellular Systems
(1996) Chapman and Hall, New York

Both of these are reviewed on my web page at
http://ir2lcb.cnrs-mrs.fr/~athel/reviews.htm

The last third of a book that I edited ("New Beer in an Old Bottle: Eduard
Buchner and the Growth of Biochemical Knowledge", Universitat de Valencia,
Valencia, 1997) is mainly concerned with themes related to metabolic
control analysis. (See http://ir2lcb.cnrs-mrs.fr/~athel/buchner.htm)

>and/or web pages on MCA and other subjects
>related to metabolic
>regulation from a theoretical point of view as
>well as experimental.

One entry point is my page at http://ir2lcb.cnrs-mrs.fr/~athel/mcainfo.htm.
Another is Pedro Mendes's at
http://gepasi.dbs.aber.ac.uk/metab/mca_home.htm.

I also would like to know
>if some works have been done about the importance of genetical
>regulation
>on the metabolic network functioning. And last but not least does
>it exist some programs that could modelize metabolic networks?

There are several: see Pedro's page at
http://gepasi.dbs.aber.ac.uk/metab/mca_soft.htm.

Ici en France il y a au moins deux groupes qui s'interessent a l'analyse du
controle metabolique, le mien a Marseille et celui de Jean-Pierre Mazat
(jpm at u-bordeaux2.fr) a Bordeaux.
