I mentioned last month
(http://www.bio.net/hypermail/BTK-MCA/9808/0015.html) that the NATO
Advanced Research Workshop on "Biotechnological and Medical
Implications of Metabolic Control Analysis" was now open for applications to
participate( http://ir2lcb.cnrs-mrs.fr/~athel/meet99.htm), and that a first
selection would be made at the end of September.

At the rate at which applications are now arriving it is unlikely that a
significant number of places will remain available after 30th September, so
it is important to apply now if you are interested. If about two weeks pass
before you get any acknowledgement, don't be surprised: I'll be away from
tomorrow until the 27th.

As one or two of the people who showed interest in the preliminary enquiry
have been unsure whether that was sufficient, I should make it clear that a
new application is necessary, because I need some information that was not
requested originally and also to confirm that any information supplied
originally is still valid. The pre-registration guaranteed that people who
enquired would receive further information (at whatever email address they
supplied), but it did not mean they were automatically registered.
