BSA vs. MCA

Dear Jannie,

It is true that various sensitivity coefficients can be obtained from
experiment as Henrik described quite early in the development of MCA,
but this is an emprical approach analogous to BSA. To link the control
to specific molecular steps still requires knowledge of the kinetic
mechanism. You've nicely described the relationship to simulation. My
belief is that only MCA (or an analogous sensitivity analysis) is
capable of providing lower-level insights.

Best wishes,
Michael
