A few months ago I asked for and received several suggestions on protocols to
use in isolating worm DNA. Unfortunately, these protocols will not fit well
into a 3 hr. lab period in my molecular genetics course. I was wondering if
anyone has used any of the genomic DNA isolation kits that are on the market.
Most seem to use some sort of resin or column and seem to be fairly quick, but
they seem to be mostly used for DNA out of cultured cells so it is not clear if
they would be readily adaptable to worms. Any experiences out there?
