Macace 4.14 -- is it a bug or just me?

An adventure in "bioinformatics," Sunday night, New York City:
So I've FTPed the latest, spanking-new version of Macace (4.14)
from Berkeley onto the Chalfie Lab's hot new PowerMac (8500/120), and
cranked up RAM to 200 Mb, and picked an interesting WBG article to
try printing. I click "Print." Printing starts at once. So far
Then I look at what has been printed. It is a page of paper
completely covered with a pitch-black rectangle, that is exactly
in the shape that the WBG article came in on the Macace display.
Since I haven't been keeping up my proficiency in the Force since
at least 1992, I find it difficult to read the black letters of
the WBG article on the dark-as-a-black-hole background that Macace
4.14 seems hell-bent on providing for me. This is not good.
Is anybody else having this problem? Is there any prospect of
fixing it or do we just get used to having a "look-at-the-screen-only"
version of Macace? Thanks for any advice.
