trasnporting strain collections

I was hoping for some more advice from people who have recently moved or
set up labs.  That is, what methods have people used to ship their strain
collections across country?  Fedex, UPS - do they care about dry ice?  Do
they arrive still cold?  Can you travel with strains and dry ice in a box
on a commercial airplane?  Any info is appreciated.
