Two research positions are available to investigate the function of the
cadherin superfamily in Caenorhabditis elegans. Both positions are available

1) Post-doctoral research fellowship, funded by The Wellcome Trust.
Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant research area and at least 3
years research experience in molecular biology and/or genetics. Experience
of nematode genetics would be an advantage. The post is available
immediately for three years. 

2) M.Sc. Studentship, funded by a University Grants Committee award.
Applicants should have a degree in any relevant area of biological science.
The post is available immediately for 15 months.

The research will be carried out in a well-equipped laboratory whose
research interests are concerned with the molecular basis of morphogenesis
in C. elegans. The laboratory is located in the University of Aberdeen
Institute of Medical Sciences. This new, purpose-built facility contains
state-of-the-art equipment for biomedical and fundamental research,
including; tissue culture, molecular and cell biology, neurophysiology and
advanced microscopy facilities.
