At the upcoming worm meeting there will be a workshop on reverse
genetics, to discuss practical means of obtaining a mutant phenotype
for a cloned gene in which no mutations are initially available. We
plan to organize it under two general headings: methods for obtaining
germline mutations in the chromosomal gene (e.g. Tc1 insertion
mutagenesis), and phenocopies made by germline injection of RNA.

We would like to keep the workshop down to an hour. To help us plan,
we would be grateful if those who have methods they'd like to describe
would send an e-mail message to leon at eatworms.swmed.edu. We would
also be grateful for suggestions as to the format of the workshop.
