the Institute for Cellular and
Positions are open for one or more faculty members who are using genetic
model systems (C. elegans, Drosophila, mouse, zebrafish, Arabidopsis)
for the analysis of development. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or similar
degree. While we are primarily interested in candidates at the Assistant
Professor level, exceptional applicants at other levels will also be
considered. The successful candidates will be expected to build a
research program and to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Generous start-up funds and salary are available. The ICMB provides
state-of-the-art facilities for molecular biology.
The molecular biology community at The University of Texas at Austin is
in an exciting phase of rapid growth. Recent MCDB/ ICMB hires include
Mark Estelle and Paul Macdonald. Applications will be considered from
