Postdoctoral Research Position:

A position is available to study the biological function and
mechanism of action of chromatin remodeling activities in C. elegans.
A particular emphasis will be placed on histone deacetylases. This
group of proteins have been implicated in many important biological
processes in other species, including tumorigenesis and life-span
modulation. Understanding how they function is essential for future
rational design of drugs that can specifically modulate their
activities and thus their roles in tumor formation and in aging. C.
elegans represents an excellent model system in which many of these
questions can be addressed by both forward and reverse genetical
approaches. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and
has prior C. elegans experience. For further information,
please contact Yang Shi at yang_shi at hms.harvard.edu, or by phone 617-432-4318.
