alternative freezing protocols

Does anyone have freezing protocols that are ALTERNATIVES to the one
described in C. elegans I? We have been passing different strains of
rhabditids on plates for many years and our collection is building up. We
would like to keep these stocks in liquid nitrogen if possible, but the
traditional C. elegans freezing protocol does not work well on many of
these species. Any alternatives, especially with references, would be
greatly appreciated.
