C. elegans Functional Genomics positions available at The Sanger Centre
Research Assistant
A research assistant position is available immediately to provide
support in C. elegans functional genomics. The successful applicant
will play a role in all areas of DNA microarray development. This is
an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable
training in DNA microarrays or for a more senior RA desiring to
change fields. A background in PCR and molecular biology and
familiarity with Excel spreadsheets is desirable. The position is for
one year in the first instance.
Research Assistant
A research assistant position is available immediately to assist in
the development of high throughput functional genomic techniques for
the nematode C. elegans. The successful applicant should have a
background in PCR and molecular biology and feel comfortable with new
technologies, however full training will be provided. Research will
center around the use of the COPAS Technology Platform (for details,
see http://www.unionbio.com).
