Digests

I am a graduate student working on C. elegans in a lab and a 
department that does not work on C. elegans. My problem is I cannot 
completely digest genomic C. elegans DNA. I am preparing the DNA from 
standard phenol/chloroform procedures. The DNA can be used in PCR, 
but it will not cut completely. I would greatly appreciate it if 
anyone has any pointers or suggestions.
