In many cellular systems the overexpresion of a tyrosine kinase type
receptor renders the cells responsive (i.e.grows) to the ligand for that
receptor.
What is the general idea about that phenomenon?
Does the cell respond to a specific signal which then follows into a
specific pathway or is the overexpression of any tyrosine kinase enough?
