HELP: gel scan software.

I need some help locating software for the Macintosh.  We are able to 
scan gels using a scanner normally used for pictures and illustrations 
etc.  I was wondering if anyone knew of any software that we could use to 
integrate the bands.  This would save us a lot of money as we wouldn't 
have to buy a commercial gel scanner.
