You mean EGTA?
EGTA does inhibit calmodulin but I don't think it works in vivo. You'd be
screwing up more than just calcium if you microinjected EGTA.
Mostly it's used in buffer solns to chelate calcium, and I've seen it used
as a control in a screen for CaM binding proteins.
