DH10Bs do not have sex pilli. They are F'- and thus female. Should you want 
F' males (eg for producing single stranded DNA from your phagemid), you 
will need to subclone out of DH10b into an F'+ cell line. To this end XL-1 
blues are recomended which may be F' selected usuing tetracyclin.
