Hi, Alan,

try albumin from the species which produced your 
antiserum (I presume it's rabbit). 
If things work as they should, then your first
antibody shouldn't cross-react (would have been 
very bad news for the rabbit that produced it),
Needless to say that you have to run the proper
controls to make sure your second antibody does
not react with any contaminating IgGs in the 
rabbit albumin prep.

rabbit-SA, by the way, is available from ICN,
Sigma, and possibly a number of other companies.
