The mitochondria is an organelle in the cell that changes chemical 
energy stored in food into compounds that can be used by the cell.

The vacuoles are organelles that store materials such as water, salts, 
proteins, and carbohydrates.

The plastid is a plant cell organelle that is involved in the storage of 
foor and pigments.
