                   Post-Doctoral Research Associate Position Available  
     
     A Post-Doctoral Research Associate position is available immediately in the Plant
Cell Technology Laboratory at the University of Guelph to study and develop haploid
culture system in horticultural plants.
     
     Applicants must possess a recent Ph.D. (in the past 2 years) in Biological/
Horticultural Sciences.  Applicants should have extensive research experience in
microspore embryogenesis and micropropagation of horticultural plants.   Experience in
plant morphogenesis, biochemistry, plant physiology, or related field would be an asset. 
The suitable candidate must be capable of designing and conducting research
independently, as well collaborate with graduate students and other Post-Doctoral
Fellows. 

     Starting salary is $26,000 (Canadian) plus a comprehensive benefits package.
