Hydroxyurea question

I have a question about hydroxyurea. I know that when applied to cells, it stops them in the cell cycle at the G1-S interface. But why would cells treated with hydroxyurea be twice as large as untreated cells?? Are the treated cells that are stopped in G1 simply grow more because they're stuck in G1, or do they enter G0?? If anyone has an answer to this question, please e-mail me! Thanks in advance!
