ca2+ fluorescence

Dear Netters,
I am trying to measure intracellular Ca2+ using fura2-AM with a Fluoromax from 
SPEX.
Does anybody have any experience with a Fluoromax measuring Ca2+?

Is the "multigroup scan" the appropriate program for measurements?
When calibrating the maximal cellular response, addition of detergents leads 
to an increase in fluorescence as exspected, but after addition of 
EDTA a further increase is observed. 
Can anybody comment on that?
