measurements of glucose and amino acid analogues

This is my first use of this group but I'm trying to track down
information for someone.

I'm looking for a protocol for quantitative measurements of glucose
and amino acid analogues in tissue extracts using mass spectrometry. 
Really, I'm looking for alternatives to using radio-labeled analogues in a
placental nutrient transport study because of the excessive cost of
disposing of radioactive waste.

Any pointers?
