POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN CELL SIGNALING
An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available to study growth factor
(PDGF) signal transduction mechanisms in vascular cells. The role of
intracellular Ca2+ signaling, lipid second messengers, and protein
kinase cascades in the alteration of gene expression and biological
activity will be examined using digitized video and confocal microscopy
in combination with biochemical and molecular biology techniques. Recent
Ph.D. in cell biology, biochemistry, or pharmacology with a strong
background in protein chemistry and/or fluorescence microscopy is
preferred.
