Animal Cell Technology
Two-year term position.
The position involves participating in a research and development project
in the field of animal cell recombinant protein production. The
candidate will be responsible for the large scale implementation (up to
150L) of production processes developed within animal cell technology
activities of the group. The work will focus on high cell density
culture and production operation in GLP mode for industrial contract or
collaboration projects. As, such, at least 50% of the total activity
must be dedicated to research in the domain of advanced process control
based on metabolic engineering concepts and kinetic models. The position
requires thorough knowledge and experience in engineering, biochemical
engineering. animal cell culture and metabolic engineering. It also
requires, a high quality for interpersonal relations suited to a
multidisciplinary team. The candidate must ensure the dissemination of
information on his/her research activities at national and international
level and increase the orientation of the in terms of diversified
applications, towards the industrial sector.
Applicants must demonstrate within the contents of their applications
that they meet the following criteria in order to be given further
consideration as candidates.
Bachelors degree in chemical. biochemical or microbiological engineering
(or equivalent), Doctorate in biochemical processes.
Postdoctoral experience in the field of animal cell culture, particularly
from the point of view of the development of media, products and/or
processes at pilot scale. Experience in control, monitoring and data
treatment. Experience in supervision of development and/or production
projects. Sound knowledge of in vitro cell culture in bench-top and
pilot scale bioreactors, bioprocess technology and cGMP operating
