POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
A postdoctoral position is available immediately to study TGF-beta/BMP
signal transduction in Drosophila. Applicants with a background in
protein biochemistry, tissue culture and/or molecular biology are
strongly encouraged to apply.
Our group is interested in modulation of ligand activity, signal
transduction during embryogenesis and transcriptional control of
downstream genes in the TGF-beta pathway. For background information
see Genes & Dev.(1994) 8, 2588; Cell (1995) 80, 899-908; Cell (1995) 81,
781-790; Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences (1996) 785, 80-97.
Applicants should send a copy of their C.V., a statement of research
interests, addresses and phone numbers of three references. You can
contact me by email (karora at uci.edu) or write to: Dr. K. Arora, Dept.
of Developmental and Cell Biology, University of California Irvine,

The Dept. of Developmental and Cell Biology has a strong and interactive
group of researchers (including other fly labs) working on cell
signaling and development. UC Irvine provides an excellent scientific
environment, and the campus is located 5 miles from the coast, with easy
access to Los Angeles.
UCI is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to excellence through
diversity.
