There are a number of commercial companies that will store cord blood; do a
search on the web for cord blood. If you are in the NY area, the world's
largest cord blood bank is the NY Blood Center. However, despite all the hype,
it really doesn't pay to store your baby's cord blood unless you know that you
have family tendencies towards diseases that one day will require a transplant.
In all likelihood your child won't need a transplant for 30-70 years; imagine
paying for storage for all that time. Also, by the time they do need it new
technologies will probably make it obsolete.
