CIPROFLOX. & GENE EXPRESSION

I would like to treat cells that have been growing in the antibiotic
ciprofloxacin. Does this antibiotic interfere with gene expression?  I would
like to treat the cells with PMA.  Can I just add the PMA to the media, or do
I need to remove the cipro?
