I've been wondering at what point in human development cellular
mitosis stops in the nervous system. Also, is this point the same in
all animals? My guess is that it happens sometime in the second
trimester and I would expect it to be roughly the same in all mammals,
but what about birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and other
multicellular organisms.
