Microinjecting cDNA into eggs: the how's and the why's.

Hi,

Goal:

Express a  protein in Xenopus (or sea urchin) eggs by injecting the eggs and
follow up the effect on embryonic development.

Questions:

1. Single injection or multiple injections?
2. Injection before or after fertilization?.

These questions seems to be simple. The underlying biological process is
not.


Please some benevolent souls out there for help.
