I've just found this paper aswell, but for mouse, they do 2 enzymic
digests of whole thymus.

thymocytes...etc.Journal of Immunological Methods 178 p13-29

Collagenase for 30 mins followed by 0.12-0.25% trypsin.

again should be useful but will still need to purify the thymic nurse
cells by antibodies.
