Electrophoretic separation of proteins on cellulose acetate plates

Hi,

I need to identify which kinds of hexokinase isoforms expressed, and their
relative quantities, in mouse brain, heart and other tissues. I plan to use
the electrophoretic separation on cellulose acetate plates. Since this is
the first time I have to use this technique, I am wondering if I can afford
to buy the whole set of equipment (or worth to buy).
Can some one have the experience tell me which equipments I must have and
which are optional or can replaced by other routine available equipment.
