P19 transfection problem

We have recently started working with P19 (mouse embryonic
teratocarcinoma) cells. We have tried to transfect them using both
lipofection and electroporation without success. After successive rounds
of optimization the best efficency observed was approximately 3% using
Lipofectamine and Optimem (Gibco).

Any advice on improving the efficiency would be appreciated.
