Postdoctoral Research Position: Molecular biologist
Dept of Plant Sciences, University of Cambridge, UK

A two year postdoctoral position is now available to construct
channel-low affinity aequorin fusion proteins for transient expression in
Arabidopsis suspension cells, with the aim of identifying channels in the
Arabidopsis genome that function as significant Ca influx pathways in
intact cells. The project is in close collaboration with Dr Marc Knight
(Plant Sciences, Oxford), funded by a joint grant from The Leverhulme
Foundation. The successful applicant will be primarily based in Cambridge,
joining a dynamic young group, in which a range of techniques is applied
to investigate the mechanism and control of plant transport processes.
Applicants must have a Ph.D and experience in molecular biological
techniques. Salary will be on the age-dependent research associate scale.
Applications, including a CV and names of two referees should be sent to:
Dr Mark Tester, Dept of Plant Sciences, Univ. of Cambridge, Downing St,
Cambridge CB2 3EA, U.K. (fax + 44 1223 333953, e-mail mat10 at cam.ac.uk).

The University is an equal opportunity employer.
