Avg. # of cells per chamber * dulution factor * 1E4 = cells/mL
ie.
300uL PBS
500uL Trypan
200uL Cell Suspension
this yields an average of 43 cells per chamber
so 43 * 5 * 1E4 = 2.15E6 cells/mL
this is how I've always done it.
