Transfection-large plasmids

Hi,
Is there a general opinion which transfection method besides electroporation
yields the best results for constructs larger than 10kb in mammalian cells.
We normally use effectene (Qiagen, no affiliation) for our cells but for
large plasmids efficiency is vey low.
We are now considering receptor mediated systems (Duo-fect, Quantum
Appligen).
Are there any experiences with this using large plasmids?
