I am trying to stain WT Chlamy cells with a number of different
polyclonal antibodies. As positive controls I have monoclonal
antibodies which stain beautifully but no specific signal is showing up
with the polyclonals.
There are two questions here.
1. Is there a difference in antibodies to explain good monoclonal entry
and bad polyclonal entry?
2. Does anyone have any tricks for working with polyclonals they are
willing to share?
