The location of the 3' end of the C. reinhardtii chloroplast rpoC2 gene on the
EcoRI fragment #10 has been recently reported by my laboratory in a paper
entitled "Conserved gene clusters in the highly rearranged chloroplast genomes
of Chlamydomonas moewusii and Chlamydomonas reinhardtii" (Boudreau, E., Otis,
C., Turmel, M. (1994) Plant Mol. Biol. 24: 585-602). In this paper, we presented
updated gene maps of the C. reinhardtii (75 genes) and C. moewusii/C. eugametos
(74 genes) chloroplast genomes. Seven of the genes on the the C. reinhardtii map
(psaJ, psbI, rpoC2b, trnD, trnfM, trnH and ORFB) were identified in previously
published DNA sequences.
