EUROCONFERENCE ON
THE EXPERIMENTAL BIOLOGY OF CHLAMYDOMONAS

29-31 May 1995, AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands

The aim of this high-level scientific meeting is to
disseminate new information, to set up collaborations within
Europe and to promote the exchange of molecular probes,
antibodies and mutants among investigators of the green alga
Chlamydomonas. The major themes of research are
photosynthesis, control of organelle gene expression, signal
transduction, cell differentiation and nitrogen metabolism.
The conference is open for all scientists interested in the
Experimental Biology of Chlamydomonas, and is meant
especially to bring young scientists in intensive scientific
contact with colleagues from other countries in the
Community. Thus, postdocs and graduate students are
encouraged to present oral presentations, besides posters.

A number of fellowships is available for young reseachers to
cover travel and accomodation expenses. A selection will be
carried out by the organizing committee, in accordance with
the European Commission's regulations. The participation of
women should be actively encouraged as should candidates
from Europe's less favoured regions.

Applications should be sent to H. van den Ende, BioCentrum
Amsterdam, Kruislaan 318, 1098 SM Amsterdam, fax 31 20 525
7934 or E-mail, CHLAMY at SARA.NL with a summary of the
proposed presentation (oral or poster). Deadline: December
1, 1994.
