interested in ecological genetics of C. Reinhardtii

I am working on a project involving a large number of geographically closely 
situated isolates of C. Reinhardtii and am interested in the mating ecology.  
I am wondering what is known about the mating reaction at the molecular level. 
i.e. have any of the genes involved been cloned?   Have any mutants been 
characterized?   Many thanks in advance for any help/direction you can lend me.
